To support our students' lifelong learning and make Grains courses available for everyone, we are developing the Grains App, which is meant to become the students' learn-work-life companion.

    • The key to long-term contentment in career and life is in understanding yourself and becoming your own best friend.

To empower our students to succeed, we develop an innovative personal wellbeing course. The aim: to provide our students with practices that will help them to

    • • general understanding of the hospitality industry

      • training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

      • gamified subject courses

      • soft skills development

      • online mentorship

    • Biased or outdated information is a common problem in education.

To solve this issue, we are developing our own Artificial Intelligence algorithm that analyses a vast amount of data on a specific topic and merges it with unique industry insights and best practices that we manually collect from Hospitality Industry leaders in the EU and Ukraine.

This helps us to create unique, relevant, and up-to-date learning material that matches the needs of students.

      Developed in cooperation with MI4People.

    • Like in real life, there are no lectures, textbooks, or homework; instead, the app uses videos to simulate tasks by chefs, service staff, event managers, etc. Learn by imagining and be ready for bite-sized, real-world challenges as theory comes to life.

  • Grains is the first non-profit hospitality school that integrates Displaced People into new communities and secures their employment.

Launched in Ukraine with the aim to empower Displaced People globally in the future.

  • Empowering IDPs

Millions of Ukrainians had to relocate from the dangerous areas, but stayed within the country. Finding a well-paid job is one of the first priorities of starting a new life from scratch in a new place of living.

The Ukrainian Hospitality Industry grows on average
    15% yearly amidst the war

The concentration of people in the most protected cities created a lot of demand for hospitality businesses. People keep creating new businesses to support the economy, but finding skilled labor remains the main issue. There is a severe staff shortage due to the recent pandemics, martial state, and the outflow of skilled labor.

The hospitality industry is an essential contributor to the Ukrainian economy. Grains was created to support people in need, the hospitality industry, and the Ukrainian economy as a whole.

  • Grains is a collective project that unites the expertise of tech and hospitality professionals from the European Union and Ukraine. It was founded in 2023 by SHELEST Hotel and Madina Katter as part of their social mission to empower the people affected by the war and create a solution that solves the migration crisis.

  • Grains app is meant to become a tool that helps Displaced People globally to integrate into a new place of living and find a well-paid job.

We will do that by creating a solution that connects government institutions, displaced people and hospitality players and tackles their issues.

  • Apart from grants and individual donations, the school is largely funded by:
